BA'S MIDSEASON TOP 50 PROSPECTS LIST

There are quite a few, what I would consider, notable omissions to this list, that I can see.

1) Miguel Sano
2) Trevor May
3) Drew Hutchison
4) David Holmberg
5) Tim Wheeler
6) Michael Choice
7) Brandon Belt
8) Lonnie Chisenhall
9) Neil Ramirez
10) Jake Marisnick

and most of all, 11) Gary Sanchez.

As far as Belt + Chisenhall your reading comprehension = fail.

Prospects have to have not used up their rookie eligibility or currently be in the big leagues to be eligible. Also, 2011 draftees are not yet eligible.

Belt isn't in the bigs = epicfail.

Belt is on a rehab assignment and is still technically on the big league roster = UBERFAIL

Pretty good list...now for the bad... how Aaron Hicks is #24 is beyond me. He's avg at best in all tools except pitch recognition. I just don't see him being an impact/above average player. Biggest omission is Yonder Alonso. No idea what he's done to fall off the list!!

Also, at some point there has to be results, otherwise he will continue to be undervalued. I also don't think people understand how young the guy is, and how he was rushed to AA, etc. But, I just think at some point the performance has to start to match the hype, consistently.

I'm invested, so I'm hoping he can put it all together.

I agree with you here. It seems Callis is anti-Wheeler for some reason. I know that college=evil in his opinion, unless you are Strasburg.
