Joe Ross with a mention in the not so hot sheet, it was only one start and the guy is 18. :|

Speaking of Padres, I'm surprised Kelly was MIA.

So much for the bias against Cal League. Brad Miller at #5 is very suprising to me. An advanced college hitter playing in a hitters league. Never would have seen that coming.

C'mon Joe Ross! Start can't be any worse than last weeks.

Hmmmm....

...left after getting just four outs, surrendering seven runs (six earned), seven hits and three walks with only one strikeout.

Those kinda stats will get you there quick. Whether he's 18 or 28.

There have got to be hitters that had hotter weeks than Machado. I mean that's a great week and all, but did he crack the hot list just b/c of his name?

Grant (NYC): Holmberg so far - 13.0 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 14 K. Where is the love, Mr. Cooper?

J.J. Cooper: Hey Grant. The best answer for Holmberg and several other pitchers is that there were too many guys to love this week. Jed Bradley, Andrew Chafin, Dallas Keuchel, Holmberg and Adys Portillo were just a few of the pitchers with excellent weeks who couldn't crack the list. To be honest, Holmberg wasn't even the first guy to miss, as I'd have put Chafin and Bradley on ahead of him. But that does point out just how insane the D'backs pitching crop is right now. With Bauer, Skaggs, Corbin, Bradley, Chafin, Miley, and a ton of other guys, they have pitchers starring seemingly everywhere.

It's a stretch, but I appreciate the mentions of Jiwan James and Michael Taylor in the Team Photo section.

Ultimately, most of this list was in Leaf Valiant so I'm digging it across the board.

True, with the system ranked so high the attention an scrutiny will be there. It's kind of a good thing.

Me too. If he keeps it up I can see Kelly pitching for the Padres sooner than later. Can't wait to see that Topps card whenever it comes out.
