For all of the clamoring about the Red Sox offense being amongst the leagues worst and the support for the pitching staff being amongst the leagues best both leading up to and during the early part of the 2010 season, the Red Sox AL team ranks are as follows entering today:
Offense:
AVG: 4th
R: 3rd
OBP: 4th
SLG: 2nd
OPS: 2nd
Pitching:
ERA: 12th
BAA: 8th
OPS: 11th
WHIP: 9th
QS: 10th
It seems to me that the Sox's early struggles (even without Ellsbury and Cameron) are not a fault of the offense whatsoever...
