For all of the clamoring about the Red Sox offense being amongst the leagues worst and the support for the pitching staff being amongst the leagues best both leading up to and during the early part of the 2010 season, the Red Sox AL team ranks are as follows entering today:

Offense:

AVG: 4th
R: 3rd
OBP: 4th
SLG: 2nd
OPS: 2nd

Pitching:

ERA: 12th
BAA: 8th
OPS: 11th
WHIP: 9th
QS: 10th

It seems to me that the Sox's early struggles (even without Ellsbury and Cameron) are not a fault of the offense whatsoever...

It's easier being an Indians fan. The whole team sucks, and I don't even have to do any research. :x

I do enjoy seeing the Tribe play the Orioles! So take heart O's fans, there are some people who like to see your team play. ;)

A few days ago I remember reading that 40 of the redsox 150 runs came from three games.

They are good, but they are way to streaky. A streaky offense isn't a great offense.
