I'm so glad you posted that one interview up of the Mick on the homerun chase in 1961. I watched all of those short interviews in that series. I think my favorite two stories is the Billy Martian one; when they went hunting together. And when Denny McClan tipped the ball for Mickey because he knew it would his last time ever at Tiger Stadium so he gave him one.

People have said that if the light-tower didn't knock that ball down it would of been hit over 600 FT.

I remember this like it was yesterday. It was scary because besides the TV inside Midway Stadium, we had no knowledge of what was happening. We were able to leave the building and had to take cover at a McDonald's after it happened again. It had satellite TV that kept going out, so nobody knew anything. We found out later on that nothing really happened.

What's freaky is that a couple days after this, the police shot a guy in the hotel we stayed at :shock:

This is one I took also. The ending is loud because some lady screamed next to us. I wish I had video of the first ever pitch, but at least I have the first MLB pitch.

Carl Pavano is one of the most inconsistent pitchers I have ever watched.

I like him, but I would have given the honor to someone else... sign on someone for a 1-game contract and have them toss the first pitch. It was only a spring training game.
