Resub it.

....and try to do it at a show where BGS is set up, if possible. It's commonly known BGS is more generous with grading at shows.

Depends at what show and what graders show up.

And this is why I don't grade cards.Nor do I buy them graded.Only authenticated for the most part.If its a 9 then its a 9.They should not vary.Human error is why I do not do the whole graded thing.

If you're unhappy with a BGS 9, why didn't you put a minimum grade of 9.5.....?

yes i bought the card thinking i could resubmit it, but wanted to have it in hand before i asked you guys what you thought. ive never tried to resubmit, and that .5 would really help. my other option is to just crack it out and leave it ungraded of course, which if it didnt have 3 9.5's i would do in a second.

You must be trying to resell this sucker. Thing is...wouldn't your confidence in the grading be a little shaken if the resubmit turned out different? In any case if you do crack it out...I would make sure to tell them you want a minimum of 9.5 or nothing at all.

What you need to bear in mind is buying the card and not the grade.Everyone has different ideas.Whats mint to me may not be mint to you.But thats why I don't buy graded.Besides...these things are printed by workers at a print shop. Its very rare anything is perfect(just look at the percentage of 10's out of any product versus whats not a 10) and even then the only thing perfect is the card. Its made by humans so unless its downright screwed up I seriously don't understand why anyone would pay more for a 9 or an 8 than a 10.Most of the differences you'll see between the grades will be so minute unless you have a loup it probably will not even be noticed.I don't put a premium on this kind of stuff unless its an old card that is from a set known to be horrible for bad centering making it hard as hell to find anything even remotely decent.'75 topps comes to mind.I have most of the set but the centering on some is down right scary.Sad thing is a lot of the good cards from that set are probably locked away in PC's around the country. But even then if I could get a somewhat decent looking card...I really wouldn't care about the grade. The thing that shakes my confidence on this is the fact that you can resubmit and get a different grade. They need to start keeping track of what they grade and what it came out to the first time. Some cards this would be hard to do but if they wanted to they could do it with serial numbered stuff as this card obviously is serial numbered. Also they could make cases so that if it is indeed busted out it will severly damage the card.I know this would suck for some collectors but hey...if you don't like graded stuff don't buy it if you know it can't be popped without harming the card. This might be a bad idea for cards that are numbered to 1 but in that case maybe they could do a non-destructible case for anything lower numbered than /10 or /5.I don't know.I just am not too hip with the resubmitting thing.I think it helps aid trimmers and such.

There's always going to be human influence. It's kind of the same thing with college and school, what one teacher see's as a A is only a B to another teacher. Yes they have standards that they fall into, but variance exists.

And to the kid who wants to buy a graded TT Miggy, the cards are easy to tell the mint copies from not, and most raw copies are trimmed or altered, that is one card I want in a slab.

Of course there will be human influence. Anyone who grades recognizes this, and accepts it.

If anyone can find a flawless, perfectly objective way to grade cards, let me know.
