soccerman034 said:I do not beleive Montero will hit for as much power as Santana...Also keep in mind that Santana can hit for power from BOTH sides of the plate. He also has a great batting eye, and should hit for a decent enough average (think .275-.300 with a .400 OBP). I am not yet convinced that Montero will stick at catcher either.
For those of you who haven't noticed, Santana is destroying AA right now:
.303, 7 HR, 9 2B, with a .985 OPS. And the kicker? 30/22 BB to SO ratio.
I would also like to point out that numerous prospect evaluation sites, before the season, picked Santana over Montero in their top 100 lists (for example: BA ranked Santana as the 26th best prospect in baseball, and ranked Montero as the 38th). Now I know that does not necessarily mean anything (especially considering Posey was in the top 15  ), but if you look at their numbers side by side, has Montero really down enough to pass Santana? I don't beleive so, and that is my opinion.
His sister is a BEAST at UW, Petey is by far the best duh...I voted Montero though.Brett Keith said:Lawrie is a 2B now. Just letting ya know.

Santana is also 3 years the elder. I'll take my chances with Jesus.
