If Razor is financed by UD, then why did their USA product suddenly go high-end? Seems as though that would be counterproductive to Razor's agenda.

Except for the fact that they cancelled Distinction :?: :?:

I decided not to print it because the letter is very misleading

wax heaven decided to print it.

Why do you consider the letter to be "very misleading?"

Thanks

If defacto control exists, then the people at UD aren't very smart.

They muddied up future razor products with their USA set. If you control something, you don't compete with it.

Plus, I am sure that the financial ties were to edgeman, and not razor. Read, the information is out there.

Because if this is true, the only agenda that matters is UD's agenda. Razor doesn't even make their own decisions in this situation...

...which would actually explain a lot about why Brian would say one thing and then out of the blue do another. He was just doing damage control for decisions he had no actual say in. (Again, if this is true)

The only thing that I believe in that letter is that UD gave edgeman a loan.

Ties between a large manufacturer and a distributor are to be expected.

Here's my understanding.

-UD financed Edgeman when it first started. This is a serious conflict of interest if you think about what Edgeman sold. Ud was basically buying there own product to manipulate the market(that's the only reason I can see).

-It is not clear yet if UD had control of Razor, however Razor was created with the money from Edeman. There has been no evidence provided that UD completely controlled Razor.

This is what I have gathered. If someone can prove other wise that UD financed Edgeman to buy their own products, please post.

Its not really competition if you essentially own both products, you're increasing your market share. Actually the faux competition would put off some conspiracy theorists.

All I can say is IF this rumor is false, and the letter was sent out prematurely, there is going to be a legal fire storm VERY soon. If, in fact that UD does not have anything to do with Razor, their contracts, or their products, then this falls under defamation/slander.

This is going to be an interesting story to follow.

These are two different, distinct nitch products. Minor league baseall versus USA baseball. I think if anything, it would spur more interest in each other, not hurt each other.

The gist of it is that Topps got throat punched in 2008 and is now crying foul. Time will tell on the collateral damage.

Aaron Crow and Tanner Scheppers have yet to sign and therefore aren't pros. Yet both appeared in Razor Sig Series.

Am I the only one that doesn't care if UD financed Razor? The Razor contracts are still binding. The product still exists and could continue to exist. Why does it matter who financed it?

I do think it's fair to point out that Jeff Novell got roasted for this allegation and if it turns out he was right, there should be a line of people apologizing.

I just got off the phone with Brian.

He issued two points to me.

1. No deal with a player has been compromised, his contracts are valid.

2. Razor is not selling licensing contracts for any of their exclusives.
