Bill Guerin to Retire Today...as a Penguin

Considering how many teams he was on...he had to retire with somebody I guess. It would have been nice to see him sign a one-day contract with a team like the Red Wings just to add another "notch" on his bed post.

I'll always remember Guerin for the saved goal in the playoffs the other year with the Pens, so I think of him as a Penguin.

it was announced last week that the Penguins will hire Guerin as a scout in the New York New Jersey area shortly after he officially announced his retirement. the Penguins are honoring him before tonight's game against the team he won his 1st Stanley Cup with the New Jersey Devils. Guerin was a huge addition to the 2008-09 Pens and provided great leadership to the young team. he instantly became a fan favorite and is still loved here in Pittsburgh.
