OK, so this kids got like 107 stolen bases, and theres still alot of baseball to be played. Does anyone else think his cards are primed for a super jump sometime soon. The thing is right now, hes only got like 1 decent card in 2009 Draft.

What happens when he gets to 150 stolen bases and shatters this record. The hype train is leaving the station, and sadly, I have no cards of his except for an Xfractor from 2010 Bowman Platinum. 8(

Does he get called up in September?

If he breaks the record and then gets called up at the end of they year....steals a few bases...watch out! Reds fans LOVE their prospects (Heisey, Janish, Cozart etc.). I sold a Janish gold ref the night of his game winning hit in his first AB (or something like that) for like $150! Now you can get that card for like...$10?

I like Billy...he's going to be an exiciting player to watch!

As a fan close to Cincinnati, I can say that there will be increased pressure put on the front office by the fan base to bring him up at the end of the year to pinch run exclusively. Hamilton gets more air time on 700WLW than most of the active roster and gets gushed over by almost every on air personality. This kid is known by almost every person in the Cincinnati area already. He was recently the Sunday cover story for the Cincinnati Enquirer. Not the sports page, the front page. This feels like the perfect storm. Just think back to 2010 when a soft-tossing kid straight out of ASU made the rotation before pitching one inning in the minors. If Mike Leake can electrify a fan base, then what will Hamilton do?

I made a solid chunk off of Janish too, unfortunately missed the Cozart train because of just not being involved in the hobby at the time.

As for Hamilton I have a hard time investing at current prices because they already seem absurd, doesn't mean there isn't room for growth but still. I'm pretty upset that I wasn't collecting at the time his chrome cards came out, I definitely liked him as a prospect from the start and probably would have loaded up. I am very excited for Hamilton but am kinda hoping we move him to CF soon (even though the front office said they won't).

The Reds just traded Janish so that's one less person in the way for Billy to move up the system!

I just sold 2009 base chromes for about $6.00 a piece, and a Xfractor for $56.00..
I met Billy Friday night, and told him about it.. he was like "Wow!... "

Ive been reading alot about him and I think those base chromes and parallels are gonna explode when he breaks the record for SBs. If he gets called up then its going to exacerbate all of it. I went to a show today and saw one guy with 7 base chromes and he wouldnt let them go for less than $10 ea. I picked them up in hopes of a spike down the road.

The Xfractor at $56 is a bit nuts! I saw a Refractor went for $30ish recently too!

I think chromes will be popular but I think ANY Billy Hamilton card will be hot when he runs his way to Cincy! His 2012 cards, Sterling, Platinum, Tristar, etc. All going to go bananas!

Ok, everyone needs to stop talking about Billy! I was going to start collecting his cards, but all this jibber jabber is just driving up prices. Now I'm going to have to re-think and start collecting Scott McClain or Alex Cabrera or something.

Too late! The world is talking about Billy! Even the Mets/Braves game the Mets broadcasters even mentioned Billy...during a game that doesn't involve the Reds in any way! Now that's crazy stuff!

I'm not comparing him to Harper but remember when everyone was saying Harper was a "once in a generation" talent? Well, I think Billy is a once in a generation player that we're just not likely going to see another one for a while...

I held on to several. I got 4 cards signed Friday night and a ball. He is a nice kid. He stole 2 bases against the Lookouts in the first game. I worry though he will be a Vince Coleman type player. However, if you can make the money off a hot start.. rise in popularity up front.. there ya go.

I was lucky enough to pull 3 base chromes, 2 Bowman golds, and... an X-Fractor from my case of 2009 Bowman Draft. Will probably list the X-Fractor soon... just need to get it out of the safe deposit box at the bank first.
