Has anyone ever dealt with mama_bear** on ebay. Has almost 800 feedback at 100%. Seller says the cases are being shipped to them and will receive them in 4-8 days. Seller will then send out the case. Seemed odd and cheap. Anyone ever deal with them?

I agree. Spend another $30-50 and make sure you're going to have NO problems. It's worth the peace of mind to me.

Agreed. I'll gladly spend 10% more with a reputable dealer

Here is my 2 cents:

Buyers have all the power with PayPal. Because of this, I think buyers have nothing to worry about with this seller. The seller explains the situation, that there will a slight delay in shipping.

What would be the worries here? If you don't get the cases, file a claim, and that is that. Or, if the boxes come tampered, take a picture immediately and file a complaint. They are advertised as factory sealed.

I don't see any potential issues here, and the price is outstanding. With eBay bucks and things like bigcrumbs, that is $400 for a case. You really can't beat that, with the wrapper redemptions to boot.

One thing to consider, is that 4-8 days buys them 4-8 more days to get the paypal transferred to their bank account and close the account. Having said that, I bet you're safe.

If you pay with a CC through paypal, and the seller tries to screw you, odds are that you will get your money back. If ebay doesn't go in your favor, pp will, and if neither do your CC will. Its really just how much are you willing to pay to avoid almost all of the chance of having to go through the process to get your $ back

I picked up 4 cases from MAMA BEAR this year and I had a fine experience.
I prepurchased & on his own accord he even threw me back $10 per case to cover quicker freight to get them in my hands. (as they were nosediving about 1.5 weeks ago).
I pre purchased mine from him at well over 650 when I bought them.
I would feel 100% comfortable purchasing from him.

mamma_bear may have previously been legit but their current offerings are highly dubious. it's almost a certainty they are trying to get cashflow from ultra-low priced case sales - many, if not all of which they have no intention of honoring. their BC auction with the delayed shipment was highly suspicious, and they are currently offering update jumbo for $309 & BDPP presell for $549 with 20+ of each listed, have sold platinum 12 box presell for $850 etc. etc.

red flags all over the place that they are about to disappear.

I agree 100%. I would stay away of any Pre-sells for sure.

Have you gotten confirmation that your cases actually shipped today?

I purchased 3, and yesterday they told me that they had a lot of cases to ship, and they would forward my tracking info to me(making it sound like they were going to ship yesterday).

The more I think about this, the more skeptical I am. I told them that if I don't have a tracking # today, I will be contacting both eBay and PayPal.

Yes, I just checked and I have a UPS tracking # just like they told me I would and it's legit. Plus their feedback has gone up like 25 numbers the past few days. So far so good.

Pulled the trigger on a Topps Update Jumbo case that they had listed for $309.95. with double Big Crumbs and eBay bucks it was had not to buy. Worse case if I don't get it file the charge back and I'm out nothing.

I get stuff shipped to where I work and we closed at 4 today and the tracking info said attempted delivery 4:35! I won't get it 'till Monday now! Mamabear got a positive feedback today from another $419 case buyer.
