So what percentage of the Chrome Prospect autos typically get seeded into retail? Any thoughts?

Assuming it is 10%, I come up with 1,360,000 retail packs using the red refractor odds.

My math is 32 chrome autos x 5 red refractors per subject = 160 total reds. 10% would be 16 reds seeded into retail and those odds are 1 in 85,000. So 16 x 85,000 equals the 1,360,000.

That 10% is a complete guess so I could be way off.

Might be easier to use the prospect auto press plates because they are retail only:
10 autos X 4 press plates per auto X 6,000 packs per press plate = 240,000 packs

My bad, actually there are 22 autos:

22 X 4 X 6,000 = 528,000 packs

Good deal - thanks! That suggests less than 5% of the Chrome Autos are seeded in retail.

So what's all the BS about how retail is such a HUGE market??

It is a large market. Just not one in which autos are a part.

After reading the initial post I was sure the quality problem with chromes was going to be dinged edges and corners due to pack searching. :shock: :lol:

My local Target had these today - I purchased three - nothing special - no autos - 6 purple refractors (2 per box as expected - no one Special) one prospect refractors, one base set refractor.

The "highlight" was a Strasburg Gold.
