So about "3" days to give away, about the same # of months until the packs are out??

I think I am going rip my 2 packs and more then likely sell them on ebay...I should be 1 of the first to list because I live 10 Minutes away from Duryea.

Somebody did the math, I don't remember where or when, but didn't it come out to a parallel one every four packs?

Yea, BCA did the math on that yesterday.

Another way figure it is, there are 4650 parallels ( 110 @ 25ea Red Wave = 2750 + 38 @ 50ea Blue auto = 1900) for 10000 packs, that nearly 1:2

As somebody who will only open one case (pre-ordered in March), and experienced shipping delays, I'm a little upset that there are people out there who are getting over 400 packs and I won't be able to get one. I understand that in this first come first serve, but it would be nice if people who got in early, regardless of how long it took to get here, still got theirs. Ho-hum. :(

Well, I won't be helping the casebusters get their "value added"... but I know others will.

What they should have done IMO was something for the first 10,000 packs worth or whatever number, and then something else (of lesser value) for anything else, with maybe an occasional thing of value afterwards. Make it an incentive to get them early, but don't completely ignore people who aren't able to bust (usually in bulk) right away

And what if they don't bust till 2015? What should Topps send them then? :???:

I don't get the hate on the mass breakers....ever really. I appreciate they make singles available en masse, which nullifies the shipping expenses i always incur, since i buy most low-end autos.

I put this all on Topps. It's the program thats broken, not the people who follow the rules of it.

Is topps taking a beating for this elsewhere, or just here? I dont have time to look elsewhere really..

Honestly, I really don't have a problem with the mass breakers, I too enjoy their fruitful labor (I have about 300 Catricala Chrome rcs). My problem is with the way the system is ran. If you are only going to give out 10,000 redemption packs, put a limit on how many people can get. To appease the mass breakers, make it something like 50 packs (that's what, six cases?). That way, you can ensure that at least 200 people are going to receive packs. The way it is currently set up, we all know one person who is going to get roughly 5% of the entire print run. And again, I don't have a problem with him getting that, if I was in his shoes I would expect the same. But in the future, I think Topps could do a better job of spreading the wealth. I am a firm believer in the greater good, and sharing is caring philosophies.

If I were Topps I wouldn't have done anything different.

Now next time Topps offers such a promotion, everyone will order and bust as much as they can right away hoping to get something while supplies last -- making pre-orders go through the roof.

Alternating availability is a great strategy to sell cards. Topps has employed similar strategies with great success in the past.
