How can you say Gwynn is Garbage?.... he had 42 AB's last year in 29 games- not exactly a huge sample size.

Seriously. My grandmother could have hit better in AAA than he did. He clearly doesn't belong a Major League regular. This is kind of a no-brainer......

McGehee haters already?
ReeeDonkulous.

Lamb over McGehee would have been the bad call. I think McGehee's done enough to earn his way to a bench spot on a major league club.
What did we have in Lamb? Are any of you brewer fans telling me you LIKE Lamb?
Why?
It's not just one good spring for Casey. Although, it really was a nice spring. People on other boards are rejoicing. I'm confused as to why there's downers around here. Didn't pick up any McGehee cards or something?

Lamb batted .235 last year, somehow banged in 32 whole RBI's.
McGehee batted .296 in AAA, and had 92.
I'm not even a huge stat guy, and the decision looks pretty easy for me.
McGehee is like 7-8 years younger, and looks like a pretty decent player. Lamb was a filler at best. Casey just has a backup roll too, so take it for what it's worth. He's played 3rd, 2nd, SS, 1st, and he can Catch too. You needed a utility guy - here he is. Did his game turn a corner? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe it was a huge spring fluke, but the gamble here is Easy.
Yay McGehee.

Great post. His ability to play at all these positions should really come in handy if/when the injury bug bites.
