Just looking through the Flores cards on the bay, I see most base autos are selling for $20-23. Then I see this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/2008-Bowman-Chrome- ... 286.c0.m14

swaydaa = Burge ? I'm pretty sure it is. And your probably thinking what is the issue.

I find it funny how with 4 days left its at 17.50, and the bidders are private. Yet there is an XFractor on the bay, less time left and at $5.50. Guy is such trash. eBay really should do away with the private bidding. Since for the most part the User name is hidden, there should be no private bidding.

Just because it has more bids than an Xfractor with more time doesn't mean anything. In the end if it sells for more yea, but you can find stuff like this all over. By the looks of it every one of his auctions are set to private, so is their something fishy with the buyback Nolan Reimold auto /419?

Maybe you have had a problem with him before but i don't see any problems so far.

It's nice to see the pile on mentality hasn't been shed when making the trek over from the BMB.

A good deal of the people posting in this thread have seen him in person to make judgments. I personally saw him trying to get the blank Blake Griffin signed cards so he can forge them from Panini.

Whatever happened to all those members who were going to "confront" Burge?

The man may be on the level of a child molester - I don't doubt that he's done shady things. But not each and every one of his auctions needs to be called out when that auction, in and of itself, is straight.

While I agree with you to an extent, when someone has the reputation he does, even the slightest questionable auction will be speculated upon. He's earned what he's getting.

Yes, everyone did "**** out".....remember, this is the internet....the land of tough guys that make a fortune in the stock market and shag supermodels.

The threads about the national every year make me laugh....over and over again, everyone states they are going to attend. Guess what, less than 20% of the people actually make it to the show....my guess, their mom wouldn't let them borrow the car that day.

Nobody is going to fight Burge.....and my guess is 99% of our members don't know the first thing about restoring a card - recolor, iron out surface wrinkles or similar practices. Everyone claims that Burge trims cards...and every card he sells is trimmed. That doesn't even make sense from an economic standpoint.

In addition, our membership struggles with simple daily tasks like printing a postage label, finding the mailing address for BGS grading or trying to tie their shoes....what makes you think they could spot a trimmed card from a scan alone?

My guess....at least 70% of the people wouldn't realize this card was trimmed unless it was listed by Burge.

muchuckwagon: Did you actually quote yourself in your sig?

The real irony is -- you choose to stay and post here, yet you make it out like the greater portion of the membership are morons. Interesting.
