Being stuck in southwestern MN, we get a semi-annual show. That is it for cards besides a couple shops... It also sucks that I didn't make the National this year... SO, we packed up and headed into the St. Paul/Minneapolis area.
First stop: Best Buy:
We bought a GoPhone...
I randomly bumped into this guy and just HAPPENED to conveniently have these cards at the ready.
I had him sign 2 of his minor league cards, an '07 Heritage, and an '08 Goudy. I am trying to get a full run of signed Minor League cards. I have 4/8 I want to say. Maybe less than 8. It was cool. He was very nice and talked to anyone who walked up after the initial line went through.
Then, I got word from an FCB member of a pretty nice show going on in the area. We headed over.
John Gordon was there signing free autos. I bought this Homer Hanky for $2, and had him sign it. He signed it in a Lumocolor. Even though the sig was free, I donated a couple bucks to a collection he was doing for a small organization.
The other guest was Buzz Schneider. He was a member of the 1980 Miracle on Ice team. Had him graph this puck for me (in GOLD of course )
This is an interesting item. If you toured the Metrodome this year, they gave you one of these. It's a piece of the roof. I wanted one because I have spent MANY hours at the Dome and I wanted a piece of the place. I may get it signed, but I doubt it. I plan to frame it sometime down the road though.
Now onto cards...

I had been searching for some Just stuff of him. He doesn't have a bunch of cards. I came across this at a reasonable price (/50)
On-card Perk autos are hard to find. These are some of my favorite certs and I got them at good prices (note, I didn't pay sticker on most of these cards).
These are just some low end stuff I nabbed, nothing special.
These are some random stuff. I bought a grab bag and got the 3 cards on the left. I bought the Valencia because he can now sign Rookie Cards and I want it signed
Even made an advancement on the '58 set with a HOFer!
I have seen these before, and got them for $.25 a piece. Really cool card.

I bought this as a filler for a deal. I liked the look of the card mainly :lol:
I know these aren't special, but it was in the dollar bin. I like 1/1s for that cheap.

I also broke a few packs with nothing of note. I also had a couple other commons I grabbed that I can't find. Nothing really important though.
