Saw the auction in the last minute and threw out a bid. I think that most people do not realize that these are game-used, and I believe the proliferation of game-used and auto'd stuff that has come out recently (Ultimate, Sterling and Prime Cuts) combined with the economy has really hurt prices.

$98.83+shipping.

Just snagged another. Under $60 for this beauty /15. No way they can stay this cheap. If 2-3 people start pushing for the set and have to compete with player collectors, the rarer one's especially should start getting real attention (like the Chipper that was mentioned.)

That's a really sweet card to have such a high print run, awesome pickup. The auto looks sharp too.

I don't think most people realize that the bats are game-used. There haven't been too many bat barrel cards made with or without autographs before, and the one's that did all sold well, but it makes sense for UD to cut a bat into a couple hundred of these instead of 1000+ smaller pieces, if it makes them real draw cards. I've actually never had a Jeter Auto before.

Thanks. The autographs on many of them are not all that gorgeous, so that was a plus for me. It's not a prospect card, but I believe these should see decent price increases in the next few months as they dry up.

absolute steal. the cards are drop dead gorgeous. now is the time to pick up these things. it is definately a buyer friendly time right now. great snag of the captain!!!

Yep...a Ryno finshed at under $50 just a little bit ago. They are nice cards. Most of the autos I've seen are bold.

Do you think it's just that people don't realize that the bats are game-used? The prices on some (especially the older players) seem insanely low.

I think that is part of it. While these are not quite as good as the GU barrel autos from Sweet Spot, I think they're the next best thing.

That's a great card and a great price. Personally I have avoided these because I'm concerned about the autograph bleeding into the wood fiber over time. I'm just not sure how it will look in a year or two so I'm avoiding these. Maybe others have the same concern and that's a contributing factor for the low prices?

Not all of them are selling low...a Chipper is up right now with 6 hours left, and it's at almost $250! I want it, but I'll try to wait for the next one.

I'm going to keep them out of direct sunlight, but I really don't worry about that.

I saw that. It's numbered way lower than the Jeter, but I could see them all becoming really hot.
