That was dropped and ran over by there transport cart at a processing facility. I have seen this a few times. I just got a card that was mailed out in August last year. It arrived looking almost like that just in April.
9 months later.

I have had that happen a few times too...the front of the mailer looks like it's been corroded by acid!

I always put a piece of packing tape over the addresses for this reason...at least it has some semblance of a shot at surviving if the worst happens.
