Chris Sale is one step away from the major leagues.

Exactly three weeks after he signed with the Chicago White Sox, Sale was promoted from Class A Winston-Salem to Triple-A Charlotte. He received the news from his coaches Monday night after the team's 7-4 win over Lynchburg.

"I was stunned at first," said Sale, who gave up two runs, one earned, in his one inning of work.

"They said, 'You did fine and got yourself out of a jam.' Then they said, 'You're going to Triple A. Congratulations.' It was like, 'Wow.' "

Fast track are not the words for it. I could see this happening if he was dominate but that didn't seem to be the case. What's everyone think? Good move or bad move?

Wasn't a condition of his signing that he would be fast-tracked. I remember someone posting something that said he'd have a shot at a starters gig by next year!

He's definitely a September call up.

"Bullpen this year, starter after. Could be up Aug 1."
