I'll be at Olsen field for opening weekend like I am every year. #1 to start the year. Whoop! And its the 20th anniversary of the 1989 team that was #1 the entire year, starting 40-1, and losing out to Ben McDonald and lsu in the super regionals. That was my freshman year at ATM.

very sweet, be on the lookout for me... i am part of the raggies who sit in 205 (the loud one with the astros cap, lol).

I am hoping to make every weekend series, and i am very excited about this team

With college baseball season right around the corner, i figured there are few around here who would like to discuss their teams, preseason rankings, etc.

Essentially it's an open thread... tell us who you think will go to the CWS, players to look out for, etc.

I'll lead off...

I am really excited for this year of Texas A&M baseball for obvious reasons (preseason #1). I think this is the first year under a&m's new coach (Childress), that all the pieces are in place. Pitching is so deep its not even funny, with almost no arms lost to the draft.

Now, i will be the first to tell you that preseason #1 in college baseball means very little right now. It is always nice to see your team at the top!

One more thing i've noticed as i glanced through the BA top 25 is that 5 of the top 16 are from the big 12. I would have to put the big 12 as one of if not the top conferences this year (and yes, i may be a little biased). Also looks to be some of the usual players in the top 25 as well, LSU, NC, Texas, and Rice.

Should be a great season, and i am interested to see what FCB thinks...

I think you are going to be very unhappy after week 1 when Wright State comes down there and takes 1 of the 4. Raiders are going to be decent this year. We lost a lot now that Hamilton and Parker are gone, but the team is still well coached and deep for a northern team

I honestly know nothing about wright state at the moment, but i imagine they are a very good team...

IMO, a 3 out of 4 series win is just fine, so i wouldn't mind dropping one. I know some would say that is unacceptable for being #1, but as long as a team can take each series throughout the year they are in pretty good shape.

Should be some great games, and i am very excited!

I was just trying to egg you on...there is no way in hell we are going to win one of those games. There is still snow on the ground here. We have to practice in a gym until March. The first weekend we almost always get smoked. Look for one of your pitchers to strike out 15 in a game because the ball looks so different from being inside to outside.

If you guys lose one to Raiders you will not be National Champs. Were a top 100 program, but no where near the caliber of the Aggies

Two games will be respectable and two will be 20-1 type scores

I should really brush up on my knowledge of teams outside the big 12, sometimes i get stuck in my own little bubble.

Hopefully the aggies won't lose a game than...

no need to bump! It's been on my mind since my team's schedule was released.
The 'Cats first two games should be cake, but then have two scheduled against Coastal Carolins who was tough last season.

I can't think of another team that lost as much talent as the 'Cats did due to graduation/draft.
Sawyer Carroll, Collin Cowgill, Scott Green, Greg Dombrowski, Tyler Howe...Andrew Albers....
those are some mighty big shoes to fill, but I'm still thinking College World Series.

Whomever mentioned Wright State, we have them Scheduled March 3rd... care to wager? ;)

I'm freakin' excited for the start of the season. I'm going through serious baseball withdrawals and I don't know if I can make it to next Friday. I just got my credentials confirmed for all four Stanford games next weekend (against Vandy & UCR).

I'll see you there!

I usually just go to the school I want to see and click on the schedule. To the right it will give you an option to load Gametracker.
here's a link to UNC's game:
http://tarheelblue.cstv.com/gametra...ool=unc&sport=mbasebl&camefrom=&startschool=&
It will also give you links to other games if you want to switch like in previous years.

Anyone know how to find the Gametracker scoreboard for baseball on what used to be CSTV.com?

Thank you!
