Anyone who did not think this type of eventual 'added charge' were/are not part of the original plan for COMC is kidding themselves. Still not a horrible deal though.

COMC is not going to be good in the long run. I know some of the top inventories there and they are upset about the monthly fees on the cards that don't sell and one of them is about to pull out all of his cards

they get upset that they have to pay 1 cent per month storage fees? i would say that is pretty reasonable considering they have to have a system set up so that they actually find your card to ship when someone buys it...just my opinion...

I think that the whole deal is a great concept and is greatly needed in the hobby. The fees in my mind are very reasonable. They offer specials on submissions from time to time and I think that the more people that continue to check out the site will result in it getting better and better. Another dime on a game used or auto card does not amount to much when you look at the average sales price on those cards....this is far better than a nickel across the board that affects your quarter cards and such.... I have only sent in 75 cards to date to try out the site and have had awesome results and responses. My favorite thing about the site is being able to view the cards that I am purchasing. I am finishing some 70's Topps sets and can see the 12 copies of card # 352 and then choose the card that I want based on centering and price, etc....I am not buying blind and can control what I have....if I find a better version at a better price, I can turn around and sell the one I previously purchased.

To the comment above about having funds in your account... I appreciate this feature as a seller because it means if I accept the offer, it is a done deal....no more accept the offer and then waiting to see if they take it or not....once you make the offer, you are obligated to make the purchase, so it keeps people from yanking your chain and wasting my time.....

Im waiting for them to change their policy on making offers so you can make the offer according to what your willing to pay and not that you can only offer half the asking price. I think some of the sellers purposely mark up the cards knowing that you can only offer as low as half price on it which is still a good sale on the majority of the items.

This really isn't an issue because a seller can price cards at 50% more then they are willing to take. Just because they get rid of the 50% rule doesn't mean your offer will be accepted. If a seller has a high asking price he probably isn't going to take your low offer. As a seller I greatly appreciate this rule as it keeps me from getting a bunch of low ball offers.

so basically you'd rather sit on your cards if they aren't getting any offers and keep paying the storage fee then move the card for a reasonable offer even if its less than half your asking price? with hot cards I can see that but if you put stuff on here that is like what I look for of my player and not a big seller I would say anyone that gives reasonable offer you move it to make max profit versus losing with it sitting there forever.

As a seller who already has IMO great prices I hope they do not do this. They use to allow any offers and the majority I received were terrible. People always want something for nothing.

I see a great many good priced people but they don't have stuff I need unfortunately and the people that have little to no market concept are the ones that have listings I need that even if I offer half its way over what the card will sell for realistically.. thats why Id like to see the change. Im sure getting offers of 25 cents for everything is annoying.. but I just want the opportunity to offer what I think is fair on a card without restrictions especially since the seller can set to auto accept offers or auto decline.
