Great pics, thanks for sharing. Man, i really need to get there.

Me too :(

I told my wife this summer its a must!!!!
Was it crowded with spring break?

It was not crowded at all last weekend. There were other high school teams kicking around town (we were there with my son's team) as there were a bunch of games scheduled on Doubleday Field but I would say it was very calm in town.

My 1st visit was about 10 years ago, similar time of year, perhaps earlier in April, and my brother and I had the whole town to ourselves.

I bet it is very crowded during the summer months.

"Say it ain't so Joe" that you have never been before.... ;)

I go down there a fair bit, half hour away from me. Stay away from most shops there, except maybe Yastremski's, they are a good store who don't rip people off like the others. The place is a doormat in the winter and it's like a ghost town, also a good time to go look around without dealing with the crowd. May on, the place gets packed, it will be interesting how the economy impacts the place. I might go down there later this week, since a store likes to buy my game used stuff I don't want.

Luckily for me i only live about 40-50 minutes from cooperstown and get out there about 4 or 5 times a year. The card shops are over priced but are a ton of fun to look around in. There are literally tons of bed and breakfasts and a few of the chain hotels to stay at. Induction weekend is by far the best experience you can have there.

Yastremski's is a good store, they buy some of my stuff and give me a fair rate. Plus, their pack prices aren't insane, don't buy singles often there.

I certainly noticed the store and am fairly certain they spell their name very differently than the real Yaz- Yastrzemski. Learned how to spell Yastrzemski when I met him around 1977-78, when I was a kid.

Nice, I'd recommend, as I believe I said earlier in the thread, that you go off-season, unless you like crowds. I've been in April both times and it was very laid back and quiet in town. I've heard it is insane on induction weekend and on other summer weekends.
