Well, after paying for the Green, I inquired if he had a Purple and Red Grace too. Maybe I shouldn't have done that. After seeing what the Red was serial numbered too, had to have it. Now I'll have two complete rainbows, plus the prototype rainbow (I'm a greedy bastard, I know.)

Nice on the red! Once mine arrives, that's it for me. I *might* go for his original jersey #17 (44 would work for all but the red), but that's another adventure for another day. Next goal: Topps Tek/Diffractors. Wish me luck!

Damn Dude! I can't imagine two complete rainbows seeing as I've only seen one red of my guy and I'm praying he isn't in the prototype set.

I remember you picking up your first red from that dude you had to meet at McDonalds  ( I think it was there, either way I know it was a very crappy listing..."Baseball cards")

Congrats on your second set; Do you still pick up greens/purples when they become available or just when you grab the whole rainbow?

Any idea what a Fernando Tatis/Travis Lee red would be worth?

$60-75?

Thats what they seller is asking but I couldnt see myself paying that much when burbank wants less,he said we could work out a deal for them since I bought the purple from him so would 50.00 seem like a slap in the face?

That's great! I was hoping 1 of the Clarks had a good serial number, #1, #22 or #25, or maybe matching #s from green, purple, or red, but just normal #'s. I'll still be happy with the second full set and who knows, I can always "upgrade" in the next few years.

Steve told me there's actually a guy that contacted him that is going after every red refractor that is #1/25. I wonder how many he has? Wasn't the Nomo that sold this year #1/25? He did me a solid by selling me the red, since he knew me from 10 years ago when I bought the Grace prototypes from him. He said he really regrets selling all the prototypes back in 1999, not knowing that Crusade Fever would grow over the years.

Well, that was Burbank. I think they have them listed in both places to get exposure. Plus I'm sure they signed a deal with Beckett and eBay to list all that stuff.

I snagged a few but they were football. At the prices you guys were picking up commons I was able to pick up a decent player(albeit retired) in Eddie George. Can't wait to have it.

Question though...

Am I the only one who wishes there wasn't a high amount of interest in these and other 90's inserts?Pretty soon I am going to be out priced out of my nice little niche of the hobby I have enjoyed for three years.

whenever Ive looked at them, the football ones seem to go for a lot lower. like you said one could get a star for the price of a common

I don't think the love for Crusades carries over to football collectors. That or they aren't looking!
