The problem with this is that people will vote for him because he is Curt Schilling the baseball star...not because of what he stands for.

Yeah just like how a lot will vote for people based on their name in the same state.....

That sir, was a zinger!

Maine of course......
...anyone hear his interview on WEEI this AM? Sounds like he will make a decision soon and I would say it is likely he makes a run at the seat..........

Could you imagine the crap storm if Schilling got elected? A republican taking Kennedy's seat? Holy crap! I just don't see my beloved Massholes electing a republican even if it is Schilling.

You elected Mittens for gov so it is possible. Barney Frank is still in office so ANYTHING is possible. Anyone not running against a Kennedy has a chance. Athletes running for public office and succeeding is nothing new. Jack Kemp of football fame served several terms in Congress representing a traditionally Democrat district and was very influential in Washington politics through the 80's, made a Presidential bid in 1988, and was on Bob Dole's ticket in 1996. Best of luck to Schilling whatever he does. The GOP probably has a better chance in a special election than a general and given his name recognition I would not count him out should he throw his hat in the ring.

Fantastic. Another ass wipe in the white house.... :?

the white house and the us capitol are different ::facepalm:: ::facepalm:: ::facepalm::

FAIL

I didn't know he was going to the capitol lol. Still corruption. :?

Well that's where Senators go my dear friend.

I don't see why he couldn't run, plenty of former athletes have done this before, Bill Bradley comes to mind.

I don't really think there would be many comparisons to Ted Kennedy (far left) when Schilling is as far right as he is.
