12 K's through 5 innings. He's got a fair shot at the record with the way he's pitching.

Well, he set the Rays franchise record with 14. Probably will get lifted after the 7th inning due to pitch count being at around 110, though he could go 8 in my opinion because he hasn't had any stressful innings.

Price has been extremely unlucky (based on advanced metrics) this season. If things bounce his way next season and he can maintain his performance, he's a legit ace.

On a somewhat related topic, I cannot believe James shields has 10 CG and 4 SO, yet he's only 12-10...

TB's rotation is scary....hope they get close enough at the end of the season where they play 6 of 9 final games with each other!!

Possible qb sneak for the wild card? :o

What Jeff Niemann is doing is also going under the radar. He has ben one of the best pitchers in all of baseball sincethe All Star break.

2.47 ERA in 8 starts averaging over 7 innings a start. He is 5-1 in that span

Rays are 6.5 back of the Yankees, so they've got a shot if they keep pitching like this.

Been keeping an eye on that. He's been great. K'ing a nice amount of guys as well. 3 games of 10 of more K's in his last 10 starts.

btw, price's last 4 starts were sick. 8,8,8,7 innings. gave up a total of 3 runs.

I know people may have written off tampa for the wild card, but the upcoming boston/ny series could see boston extending their lead further while the rays can catch up another game or two.

plus, rays are playing their final 6 of 9 games with the yanks with toronto sandwiched bet those games. yanks get boston sandwiched bet rays.

I know my mets r done so looking forward to rays and giants run for the playoffs!!
