Came across this with a BIN for $4. I'd love to find something similar for his 77T card. Had this already, but $4 was a deal! Pat Dobson was a 1X AS in his 11 year career from 1967-77 and it was the year he lead the league in LOSSES! The prior year, he won 20 games for the only time in his career, but was also a member of the 1971 Orioles staff that boasted four 20 game winners (Palmer 20, Cuellar 20 & McNally 21 leading the group).

I don't normally chase all the buybacks for my Amos Otis collection. I do try to get the Heritage buybacks every year. I saw one 1969 Otis RC on eBay when they first came out. It went for way more than it should have. I ended up paying about the same price but got 16 1969 buybacks total.

This doesn't compare to the sweet cards posted by others recently. Allen & Ginter is one of my favorite sets every year. I had to grab a box on release day. Great box for a Royals fan! (Second Pic)

That had to feel great! I have never pulled a Garvey auto from a pack, Every single one I own was purchased direct/in a lot or gifted.

I think there is something wrong with the card market today. Maybe it is a bigger influx of newer collectors/investors/prospectors with money to burn and that has a trickle down effect, but the prices for active player star autographs is shameful. Compared to the past, when the only option was to get a player at the park or later a show or mail, now that we have opened the world of pack certified autographs, it's taking a turn for the worse (in my opinion). I honestly don't believe this is sustainable.

The always under appreciated Frank Robinson can still be found, even after his death, for around $10 if you are patient and willing to settle for something like a Nabisco or Canadian Club (still certified from the retailer). You want a Judge, Trout, Ohtani? Prepare to pay several hundred to several thousands for one. I realize he had a masterful playoff experience, but Yamamoto autographs for $200-500 or more? Sasaki for the same price??? Kershaw retired in grand fashion, so he is on the top of peoples minds, but his stuff is higher than ever. Sure shot HOFer, and thankfully I got mine when he was more affordable. Seriously, who is buying all of these cards and what is their plan?

I have come to terms with the fact that there will be a number of modern players I will never add to my collection, while trying to fill holes of older, many still active player who were priced higher than i wanted to spend before the last 3-5 years absolutely destroyed the average guys changes at getting the better ones. i just wonder how high autographs will go before there won't be anyone willing or able to afford them.

With my rant/complain over, I will share that I just added one of the more recent stars who has a solid track record towards fame. After his monster 2023 season, where he was MVP, he has had off seasons in 2024-25, probably allowing prices to dip into "my range". hopefully he continues to perform at an AS level for many more years and eventually makes the HOF and i can say that I found a bargain in 2025. There probably won't be too many more additions of a player of his skillset moving forward with the way prices are climbing out of control.

Nothing of note for the Erstad collection lately. He's in some 2025 Panini sets, and I am about 1/2 finished with the rainbow. Not a lot of singles are floating around. Not sure if people are opening this stuff.

A Griffey Flip auto (Craig, not Jr unsigned on back) and some more Hostess panels. Slowly plugging away. Would really like to have all 5 sets complete. That would be a chlldhood dream I never thought possible. First and hopefully only 2 graded panels. one of these holders is humungous!

Been busy this week. Think I missed a few mail days.

More Hostess is always an exciting and welcome addition. I am less than 50 panels from having all 5 sets (75-79) and a2nd complete for the 77 set. That is still a long way to go though...

I discovered this Reggie Miller auto was part of the Members oNLY 1995 Stadium Club set. Unfortunately they picked a crappy card and the signature is even hard to see in hand. He signed them vertically from the bottom to top on the left side of the card, against the near black background! Still, Reggie isn't an easy auto and although the card itself isn't certified as you would see most cards issued these days, it is card number 0 and is a manufacturer issued Autograph (certified).

Dorsett, 1 of 2 versions issued by Signature rookies that year. A lot of people look down their noses at these earlier "off brand" sets, but I love them. not only are some of these the first pack inserted autographs of the players featured, but they have special numbering, like this one is #D2 and the other is D1.

A pair of Fleer lucky 13 draft redemption cards, including the one good for the Kobe Bryant card. I built the actual card set when they were new. Now I'd like to complete the redemption card set as well. Knocked off the best one at least.

Fun periodical lot. I was thinking the BHN was Baseball Gold, otherwise I probably would not have bought it, but it was cheap and I like stuff like this anyway. The Baseball Cards and the other magazine sized booklet have cards in them.

A variety of inexpensive "fun" additions.

Love any of the old school Sonics autographs, vintage or Archives.

Then, I found another Gold Standard redemption, this one Otto Graham. I have the full set of signed cards. like to pair unredeemed cards when I can. The redemptions are pretty underwhelming, but they do have an image and are the type of thing I like to collect.

My first and only SP from the UD Vintage set. Saw a blog post and decided I should have one. Would prefer a Dodger, but Bags was cheap!

This is a tough auto to see. I have one copy that either was never signed or it faded. I can't see it, so I bought this one to replace it.

They should have used a different pen for sure, as the card design was already set. Fine tip does not work with this one at all.

Yeah! Most of the sigs on this card are poorly placed and also fading. I've got a couple of bold ones, but they're so rare to find anymore. For a time, this was a $2-3 card. It's jumped a little.
