Did FCB's booth at The National end up boosting our members?

It's been a few weeks since FCB set up its booth at The National, and Gilmore, Bob and the other FCB mods/members did a great job.
Was the end goal achieved?
Did the publicity, giveaways and promo cards noticeably end up increasing our member count?
Since people have short memories, I'd assume most National attendees who stopped by the booth and were interested would have checked out FCB's message boards by now.
So did it work?

Well, It worked in that we have about %130 post per day than before the national.

It worked in that industry relationships with manufacturers and authenticators were massively strengthened.

It worked from a brand recognition standpoint in that more people in the hobby know who we are and what we do.

It worked in that the mod staff had a lot of fun.

It gave us an understanding of how to properly market ourselves at shows, and let us know what to do next year.

It did not drive membership like we had hoped.

We spent a lot of money on the national this year. Experience was gained, relationships were strengthened, and our brand was promoted. If I had it to do all over again, I would certainly do so. Although I would tell mox to double the order of Yeungling.

Good to know about all the successes, Chris.
Sometimes it just takes some good word of mouth to increase membership, so there could still be some future benefits.

I think a advertisement in a Beckett magazine or a banner on a high traffic sports site would be more beneficial than a booth at a card show/national.

Do want the site to grow to make more money or what is the reason. I feel like for every good member that would be added we would add 10 crappy ones. The one thing I like about this board vs the old becket board is the size. The old becket was big and there was a lot of idiots.

I want the site to grow

As it grows we will be able to do more things with it. I do not want it to be "just a message board"

I'm very curious. What types of things do you hope to add to FCB that would put it past the message board status?

another popular sports card MB has grown into a monthly sports card magazine that is being sold at shops and shows now and its membership are the ones writing the articles. They are doing a great job.

Did it start out as a message board or start out as a company that added a message board? It was before my time.
