I've got to say, Mike more or less sounds like a little girl in the email, HOWEVER, Chris, as much as we all appreciate the work you guys do and the contribution you gave and continue to give, he is right with the razor situation. When that was talked about more frequently on the boards your post was always pro-razor, I'm pro-razor now too, but Brian made claims that were ridiculous at times and you always backed him up. It did look like you were getting paid to promote him. I will not move to the other site though, this site really is great, you guys do a good job.

The pro-razor board sentiment is extremely overplayed. Three of the biggest critics of their latest move are moderators.

[quote="and JUSTICE for all":1506a1rl]im sure chris does benefit from the site a little bit, but there is also a ton of work that goes into this site. nothing wrong with being rewarded for dealing with a lot of the BS that goes on with such a popular website like this.

Yes, but this was originally Mike's site. Not Chris's.

Looks like Mike just got banned too..

of corse he did

you cant do what he did and not get banned

chris, if you have nothing to fear you should not have banned him. if his talk is nonsense, you should have explained it to everyone. by deleting his posts and banning him so quickly, it makes it appear your covering up for yourself and look guilty. if this is the open forum as you suggest, an explanation i due to the members here.

i'm just speaking openly and this is by no means a threat and hope i don't get banished myself for speaking my mind.

He took his leave, and abused the email database to email members. I am sorry, but this is pretty cut and dry.[/quote:1506a1rl]

I don't think over 1,000 people wanted this email.

IMO it was chicken shat move.

I do not back everything razor says or does. I have had critical things to say about a couple of things they did "happy prospecting" being one of them. I have his back though, because I like what they plan on doing. It really is that simple.

man, i for one would really like a long post here from chris explainging how the whole thing came about since i wasnt here in the beginning. Mike sent this novel, and chris you are just making one line responses. I would really like all the facts, cus mikes email makes you out to be a crook and a slimeball. could we get your side of it in more than 2 sentences?

His complaints are highly overplayed. He created a free message board and invited about 50-100 people from the BMB. Less than a month later we moved to this site/server and that was that.

I'm totally fine with this statement. Thanks for the clarification.

Based on the email it seems that there are a couple of issues that Mike has a problem with:

1. Not getting the credit for creating the site.
2. Not being involved in the running of the site
3. The "overhyping" of Razor

Looking at those 1 at a time:

1. I don't see why Mike shouldn't get recognition for creating the site (I don't think CGilmo has a problem with this.)
2. Mike seems to be saying he'd be interested in some of the aspects of running the site. In the email Mike writes:

"I had asked him numerous times if he wanted me to help him with anything, hoping he would infer that I wanted more involved with the site."

In this post CGilmo writes:
"He has never made a decision on this site, nor has he offered any input. I ran with things here because I had to."

Assuming both are true, is there any reason Mike can't be invited at the current time to offer his opinion in some capacity? Chris's post seems to infer that he would have been happy to have the help back then. If this is true, why not extend the olive branch now?

3. This is obviously subject to discussion. I believe some agree while others disagree. If Mike was on board he might be able to offer a bit of a balance to the administration on this area as Chris is definitely pro-Razor and I imagine some people might feel there is a bit of a bias.

In the end I'm thankful to both Mike and Chris for what they've done to enable us sports nuts to have a forum to waste our time. :) It would be nice if we could get everyone working together as it's a hobby that should be fun for everyone.

That's fine, it's hard to interpret things in writing sometimes, but it usually came across as what I previously said. Thanks for the response.

I'll respond to this again. Three of the loudest critics of the latest Razor move are moderators, and Gilmore has also been critical of the brand. Mike has been on the board since the inception and there has been no "balance" sway created by his presence.

good post man.

I would have gladly welcomed any help from anyone back then who had a sane head on their shoulders. There was a time when I tried to work with mypens on things. He stepped away around October when we had an average load of 50 people. Since that time we have moved to a dedicated server, become corporate sponsors at the national and now have an average load of around 250 people. That should be plenty of information.

did mypens have the cash to put up and buy the domain name, then buy a server so this site was on its own dedicated server.

Mike is a minor, we need to remember that. There is no way Mike could handle all this. Most of FCB's sponsors would not deal with a minor. Its cut and dry here.

Mike thanks for the ****** email. I am an FCBer for life.

Though Chris hasn't said it, in case anyone is worried about moving (again), Chris owns the domain.

I'm staying, and I'll keep giving cards away. ;)

EDIT: Dammit, Andrew (kinda) beat me to the punch.

He's a minor? Well that would explain the immature email.
