Never seen a Canseco and from I can see there *should be 100 for the first 100 cards in the set - lmk if other player collectors have run into this.

Randomly inserted into retail packs, this 100-card set is a complete parallel of the first 100 cards in the 2001 Fleer Triple Crown base set. Please note that these cards have purple-foil lettering on the card fronts, and were only available in retail packs at the rate of approximately one per box.

If anyone has seen the Canseco or can help me get one I'd appreciate it!

They exist - I have seen 2 of my player. Just another impossible retail item to find. (Fryman is #65 in the set).

Since the thread is about the Purple version, anyone want to help me understand why it's rare for some of us player collectors? I don't see it as being serial numbered, so I guess I'm just confused.

I'm guessing it just gets overlooked with the lack of a serial number or absence of attention grabbing differentiators.
