I've had it with PSA! You might remember the fiasco I went through with getting my Eddie Mathews RC graded a few months ago.
I get a stack of 1911 Turkey Reds in low-med shape, nothing special & nothing high $. So I figure PSA would be the way to go (i know, my first mistake). I fill out the submission form. On it next to the $15 regular service is says, and I quote,
"all supersized cards must be submitted at this service level or higher"
I'm pretty sure I know what the word ALL means.
So I pack up the cards & ship to PSA via Registered US Mail, etc etc.
This morning I get the following email:
Warren Wolk,
In order to further process submission 673174 we need to do the following:
You submitted Turkey Red T3's under the $15 Regular Service which does not qualify. The cheapest we can offer for this type of card is $60 Super Express. We will need authorization to charge an additional $720 to the credit card listed.
Please reply back at your earliest convenience.
Thank you,

to which I reply:
Hi Sonia,
This is very disappointing. It says clearly on the submission form" all supersized cards must be submitted at this service level or higher" under the $15 "regular service". The cards I send you surely fall into the category.
Please advise.
PSA's reply:
This card is not considered supersized.
Cmon PSA, I was born at night, but not LAST NIGHT.
Here's how I left it:
Hi Sonia,
I'd have to disagree, the cards are indeed supersized. I'll leave it in PSA's park - the right thing to do would be to honor your statement of "all supersized cards must be submitted at this service level or higher" from the regular service section of the form. I surely don't want to argue on this Holiday week. I thought you'd grade them for $250, that's the only reason I sent them. Theyre simply not worth enough to pay $1000 to grade them - they are not high-grade cards.
If you won't honor the wording on the form then please kindly ship them back to me right away, and just charge me for the return shipping.
I hope you'll reconsider at this point, but do what you have to do. I'm hoping that I can rely on PSA for my future grading needs - at this point that is up to you as well. I have another order ready to go with a stack of 1940 Playball cards.
Best Regards & Happy Holidays,
Warren Wolk
If they don't do right by me on this I will cancel my club membership & never send them another nickel.
Does anyone know if BGS does Turkey-Red sized cards? I hope so. The Eddie Mathews went to BGS & I was extremely happy with the results.
I'm fed up with PSAs treatment of me!
