I have wasted my money on two boxes of this crap. My Autographs out of two boxes might equal $10 shipped. I understand I am taking a gamble by buying wax but wow what a waste!!!! I will be sticking to good ol' Chrome Draft, where you actually have value when you buy a box.

That sucks to hear. I had worst luck with BCP this year than I did with Elite. If you are looking at moving the autos, shoot me a PM with who you got and how much you want for the lot.

I have a 20 box case incoming, and I am not worried one bit. Buying this product and expecting an IMMEDIATE return on your money is stupid, especially with the economy the way it is.

Pull a Schlereth and a Montgomery and you're getting about $10 from two boxes of BDP. The key is quantity in order to negate variance.

Yep I totally agree, that is why I bought 5 case of Draft. I just got unlucky on the 2 of Elite. I should have just bought some singles. I wanted to whine and complain though.

I don't think it is the economy in this situation, it is a matter of not pulling very good cards. I hope you will have some awsome pulls on your case. Good luck! Are you buying any Draft? I have to think that Draft is a better value though (IMO).

Here is what I pulled:

AUTO's:
JOSE MARTINEZ, CORD PHELPS, AARON SHAFER (ASPRIATIONS /100), DANNY ESPINOSA, JORGE BUCARDO, RAY KRUML

JERESEY'S:

MICHAEL BEASLEY Throwback Threads
BUSTER POSEY & TONY THOMAS Collage Ties (only Posey has jersey piece) Posey is a great prospect but having Tony Thomas on there is retarded.

PM me if with an offer. Best offer can have it.

I paid $165 for two boxes, which I know was to much, but I wanted to give it a try tonight.

Elite was the most fun I've had ripping so far this year. I pulled better stuff from Threads but I had more fun with Elite for some reason.

Wax is wack, the only people making money are the card manufacturers or mass busters.

For some of us this is still a hobby and we enjoy busting wax.

And some of us don't like spending the occasional $70 on a box only to get firewood. I would imagine at some point you would want to sell your collected items, just like me.

Would I? The money I spend on wax is part of my disposable income and is for my entertainment. If I don't get anything back from the wax I bust I don't look at it as a loss because I still had fun ripping some packs. The singles I buy are a different story.

My memories of ripping wax are more like nightmares, thus the reason I am against it. I would rather buy the singles I like/collect/prospect for my entertainment.

I think a lot of people forget what is says on the back of packs and boxes.

I am looking at a box of 06 draft and it says "Topps does not, in any manner, make any representations as to whether its cards will attain any future value.

The companies do not care if you pull a $1 auto or a $100 auto as they don't put value on the cards. Sure they are happy if they see a card going for a nice chunk of change. It just helps sell more product.

This is a shared concept, you and I have, that seems to run thin around this crowd. Like you, I look at the money I throw at wax as disposable with the real joy coming from busting. If I pull something I can sell, immediatly or otherwise, its just a bonus. Too many look at wax as a way to make immediate money. And if you think this way and are only busting a few box's here and there, well then... I think your going to learn a hard lesson and/or this is not the hobby for you.

If you want to attempt to make money, you buy cases and hope for the best. Even then there is no gaurentee but like someone else said, it will atleast equal out the variances a bit. Or else you buy singles. I wish more could share the notion of collecting and busting for fun, as it's really a fun hobby!
