The only reason I can think of is to put pressure on the Indians to get a deal done. I seriously believe this is going to come back and haunt them for years.

Sweet Jeebus I hope this falls through. The Indians offense is simply not good enough to seriously contend this year. I would wager that most of the members of this board are observant enough to figure this out. Hold on to Pomeranz and White for the future, and forget this futile attempt to make a contender out of a team with no offense. The thing that really bothers me is that Ubaldo could be damaged goods. The Indians already had that happen to them when they picked up Jason Knapp from the Phillies in the Cliff Lee trade. Their front office will most certainly confirm themselves to be complete and total idiots if it happens to them again.
