Dotel, R, and Jackson?

fracking A, fracking A

I want Brett Lawrie!
Better include Miller.

Pointless for the Cardinals to deal Rasmus for 3 okay pieces. They said all along they'd deal him for a stud.

Add another player to the list that is leaving St. Louis due to LaRussa.

Not a dazzling return for the White Sox, and painful to essentially trade Hudson/Holmberg/Getz/Fields for Frasor/Stewart, but it's nice to get out from under Teahen's contract.

They better score a lot of runs because their pen is toast.

Colby is not a #3 hitter, at least yet.

The trade: Colby Rasmus, Trever Miller, Brian Tallet and P.J. Walters for Jackson, Marc Rzepczynski, Dotel and Corey Patterson

What a horrible deal for St. Louis,

I wish the M's would have grabbed him at that price.

That deal makes no sense for the Cardinals if they are giving up three others players aside from just Rasmus as moving bullpen guys for different bullpen guys doesn't address that need.

Hahaha guess the Cards really wanted to get rid of Rasmus. Shame. Great for the Jays.

Not really, we had the worst lefties this year. Tallet had no place on this team, Miller was struggling. Walters wasn't even a decent mop-up man.

It doesn't matter, they got no where near enough value for him. Jason Churchill who runs one of the main Mariner prospect websites and is an ESPN writer advocated the M's to trade MICHAEL PINEDA for Rasmus. He said that is what it would take to get him and even Brandon League + Eric Bedard wasn't enough and we would have to add prospects. They got no where near his value.

I don't like the deal, but Skorris is correct. Tallet, Miller, and Walters leaving will not hurt the team at all.

LaRussa must have really wanted Rasmus gone.....

Of course it's no where near fair value. Just stating that Miller and Tallet had no place on this team.

It doesn't matter what a blogger thinks. Mozeliak's hand was forced. I'm upset with the return, I really wanted Thames, but whatever.
