SUSPECTED FAKES

For the past 8 months or so I have been copying scans from Ebay from suspected fake patch fakers. I'm sure they're not all fake, so it's basically a library of cards sold by certain sellers on Ebay. This has served as a good resource for me when I want to check whether or not a logo patch on Ebay has been sold before. All I have to do is search for Alex Rodriguez on my computer and I can see 69 images of mostly fake buyback autos that I've saved. Now that Ebay has switched the format of each auction, it is not possible (at least that I know of) to copy any scans.
EDIT- Problem solved due to all the responses.

I think everyone should bookmark my suspected fakes page so if they see a suspected card on Ebay they can check to see other cards sold by that seller. I know there will always be people to buy these cards, but maybe at least the people on this board can be more knowledgeable about these cards. The ending prices of these cards has been going steadily down, so at least the efforts of people on this board are making a small dent.

Besides selling fake patches and fake Bowman Originals/Topps Originals/buybacks, there are other telltale signs for these sellers. A bunch of these sellers have a large amount of Topps Rookie Premiere autos from basketball and football. The red ink versions of these cards are supposed to be short printed to 10, but there seem to be more of them out there than that. Another telltale sign is selling low-end autos from brands like Classic. In my database I have a whole bunch of scans of Classic autos sold by these guys of Alex Rodriguez and Emmitt Smith.

A nice idea...I kinda think it's just time to end GU patches and all that stuff. I know they're great to some people, but I don't really see the big deal to them especially with all the risk they carry now.

You can use print screen to copy and paste the screen with the card on. I know that it's a couple of more steps, but you might htink it's worth it.

I don't really get it... I'm still able to copy an ebay image and paste it here or anywhere, or save it to my computer.

I was going to check and see if there was a way to copy a picture with the new ebay and what do I find?

Somehow I have the old style of ebay, and there is no way that I see to get the new one.

Thats weird, is it like that for anyone else?

Where is the picture located on the page? I have the new style of Ebay where the picture is at the top left of the page. No matter if I right click on the item page or on the enlarged picture that shows up in a different screen, saving the image isn't an option.

Card Magnet- Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that, and depending on how much more time that takes I'll use it or just forget the whole thing.

You should always be able to right-click a pic and copy the url into photobucket. There may be a few auction-helpers that block this, but it's not eBay doing it.

PS: I recognize and can vouch for at least one of those patches as fake :)

They're not just images anymore. The pictures are part of Java, so you can't right click and save. It's a completely different type of media.

In Firefox, if there is an image on the page you want to save and it won't let you right-click and save the image, try this. Go to the Tools menu and click on "Page Info". When the Page Info box pops up, click on "Media". You should see a list of every background and image on the page. You can click on each image and see a preview at the bottom of the box to see if that is the image you want. When you find the right image, click the "Save As" button in the bottom right of the box and save to your computer. It's a little more effort, but it usually works.

Agree. If they aren't going to do it right don't bother. Too many cards have been faked and switched out and no one knows if the original jersey cut up was any good in the first place.
If they want to have game used stuff in cards. Give away the entire piece as a redemption.

Thanks for all the responses. I have been using Safari, which didn't let me copy, but I switched to another computer that I use Internet Explorer, which lets me copy.
