SUSPECTED FAKES
For the past 8 months or so I have been copying scans from Ebay from suspected fake patch fakers. I'm sure they're not all fake, so it's basically a library of cards sold by certain sellers on Ebay. This has served as a good resource for me when I want to check whether or not a logo patch on Ebay has been sold before. All I have to do is search for Alex Rodriguez on my computer and I can see 69 images of mostly fake buyback autos that I've saved. Now that Ebay has switched the format of each auction, it is not possible (at least that I know of) to copy any scans.
EDIT- Problem solved due to all the responses.
I think everyone should bookmark my suspected fakes page so if they see a suspected card on Ebay they can check to see other cards sold by that seller. I know there will always be people to buy these cards, but maybe at least the people on this board can be more knowledgeable about these cards. The ending prices of these cards has been going steadily down, so at least the efforts of people on this board are making a small dent.
Besides selling fake patches and fake Bowman Originals/Topps Originals/buybacks, there are other telltale signs for these sellers. A bunch of these sellers have a large amount of Topps Rookie Premiere autos from basketball and football. The red ink versions of these cards are supposed to be short printed to 10, but there seem to be more of them out there than that. Another telltale sign is selling low-end autos from brands like Classic. In my database I have a whole bunch of scans of Classic autos sold by these guys of Alex Rodriguez and Emmitt Smith.
