I have already contacted the seller, but I am pondering the worst case scenario and I am sure people on the boards have encountered a similar issue in the past.
The details:
Purchased a Bowman Chrome Autograph of prospect A on 12/23
Received a Bowman Sterling Autograph of prospect A on 12/28
Checked the sellers completed listings and he did sell one copy of each, so it appears he simply mixed the two packages. I'm afraid the guy who paid for the Sterling, but received the Chrome, might simply deny the fact that he received the wrong card.
I know the seller should be held liable and if he does not respond within a 24-48 hour window, report that I received an item not as described, but what are the odds my claim is successful? My packing slip that was included clearly states Bowman Chrome and I also read the entire auction description and it does state that I will receive the card in the scan, etc. The seller has great feedback so I am hoping we can reach a resolution, but I am also worried about the outcome because it will require the cooperation of a few parties.
Of course I only purchased this item to complete a trade too. I was simply going to package it with another card today and drop it at the PO. Luckily this is my first instance of receiving a wrong item and the card is only in the $40 range, but frustrating nonetheless.
I guess the worst case is I file for a refund and eat the shipping cost and send him back the incorrect card? Just a pain considering I will still need to acquire the original card to complete a trade!
