I agree. But did not know about the stat you quote. I thought he had some bad outings mixed in there.

But, this is the first time a Sox pitcher as young as 22 won 10 games since Mike Nagy’s 12-win campaign in 1969.

He had a problem with "tipping" his pitches for a while. But, when he is on, he is lights out.

Take out his day starts and he is one of the better pitchers in the AL (8-2 1.87 ERA 1.12 WHIP)....if the Red Sox are smart they will skip his day starts next year, that will also help limit his innings for his first full year in the majors.

He's handled himself well against the Yanks though, 3-1 2.22 ERA.

We haven't had a young arm like this in the rotation since Buch/Lester came up to the bigs so he will definitely be fun to follow over the next handful of years.
