Elite BASE sp card auto /99 vs. Bc auto?

Luke Jackson could be an interesting case.

His elite auto (base card sp) is /99 while his bc is a regular auto.

What if he blows up? Will his elite really trump the bc?

There's been several /99 elite sp autos in the past but none have panned out.

What's your thoughts?
