Well, I didnt say wht the guy said was true or not, I was just pointing out that he mentioned it. And that jump is only one size difference. Not what the media is making it out to be.

A size difference yes, but he also shaved his head... presumably to hide its growth... so it amounts to much more.

A difference of one hat size is fairly considerable (not to mention odd) but a few hat sizes is pretty freaky.

The more I think about it, it's highly possible there could be five inductees next year. I think there's definitely going to be four. We could be seeing 3 to 4 entrees for the next 4-5 years. I think Maddux, Glavine, and Thomas are locks. I could see any of these guys getting in: Biggio, Morris, Bagwell, and Piazza.

But let's just say it's Maddux, Glavine, Thomas, and Morris.

Then in 2015 it gets more fun: Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez are locks. John Smoltz stands a good chance. Biggio, Kent, Mussina, Bagwell, Piazza are carried over. Sheffield is a 1st time candidate but won't make it for a long time. And this isn't even counting Bonds, Clemens, Schilling, Sosa, etc who all should get in someday.

Then the Griff in 2016.

I'd agree with Maddux and Thomas are LOCKS. I think Piazza might get in and I guess Biggio... Sorry but dude played 21 damn seasons and besides comparing him to others at his position for offense, he isn't anything that makes me go WOW... Just my opinion?

EDIT - I didn't notice Glavine would be up... I think he is IN

Simple suspicion of PED use appears to have kept Piazza out this year. No suspicion of R Johnson being a PED guy? His career arc (4 of his 5 best statistical seasons at ages 35+) is pretty odd, no?

who's to say Pedro (2 of the best SP seasons ever during height of supposed PED use) wasn't a user?

i don't know if they did or didn't, but see where this idea of voting based on things we have no proof of gets us?

The Unit was feared as hell in his early years, so not sure without looking how his stats were better as he got over 35 but I'm sure I'm wrong... Need to see the numbers

From baseball-reference -
Johnson's top WAR seasons:
2002 - 10.4, age 38
2001 - 9.8, age 37
1999 - 8.8, age 35
1995 - 8.3, age 31
2004 - 8.1, age 40
2000 - 7.8, age 36
He had two other seasons under age 35 with WAR > 6 (a 7.7 at age 33 and a 6.3)

Johnson's top ERA+ seasons:
1997 - 197, age 33
2002 - 195, age 38
1995 - 193, age 31
'99 - '01 - all in the 180s, ages 35-37
2004 - 176, age 40
only 1 other season under age 35 over 150 (152)

His IP totals from ages 35 - 38 are all 248+; under age 35, only two seasons over 220 and one of those was at age 34. 245 IP at age 40, 225 IP the next season. I believe all those exclude postseason.

I'm pretty sure he is talking about the infamous "List of 103"

Yep and according to some reports, some players refused to take the test so they would be counted as a positive and make sure that the automated testing would kick in. The full details of that testing would put much of these rumors to bed.
