Ever list something, not expecting it to sell, but it does?

I listed this last night thanks to the free eBay listings that end today. Didn't have to move it and really didn't think anyone would bid (at this point of the year at least), but if someone was willing to spend the money on it now, then I was fine with it. I knew the minimum I wanted for it and it looks like I will at least get that much out of it.

Ever list something that you thought probably wouldn't sell until later in the season or simply wouldn't sell at all based on your price and it still sold?

Yes the Muhammad ali cut 500lb made me. I didnt think some one would hit the $600 bin.

And I just realized I did not list "auto" in the title....should have said that instead of "pristine". First time I have ever made that mistake. ::facepalm::

Anyone think that's a big deal with this card? Can't change the title since a bid has already been placed on it.

You sure you can't update it. I thought you can't do anything when there is only 12hours or less. I have updated info or even
typos after there has been bids on my stuff before. But that has been while now, so I may be wrong.

And so your Minimum is $249.99 :lol: Since that was what it started out as. Not bad so far.

Yeah, once a bid is placed, the title locks and you can't change it. You can add revisions to the rest of the text but not the title. Doesn't look like it will hurt me in the long run but I know a lot of people search with "auto*" after a player's name. I was thinking so much about listing "pristine", it just slipped my mind do list the obvious part..."auto". :lol:

EDIT: Made contact with the bidder and told him about my mistake. Told him I could go ahead and sell it off of eBay for the same price if he wanted instead of me correcting the title. So I just sold it for $249.99...not bad I guess.

I've listed a lot of cards with idea of not selling, especially football cards. But then there is that one bid for .99 and I'm happy just to get rid of it.

But as far as surprises, at the time I was surprised that someone hit the bin for $250 (with an obo on it as well) on my Jacob Turner AFLAC auto within five minutes of listing it.

After seeing the next one go for $371 in an auction, I realized that I had left money on the table ::facepalm::

Already did. Just waiting on payment now. I'm pleased with it because a 2006 BDP Kershaw auto BGS 10 just sold for $300. Sterling typically goes a little lower so I'm happy with it.
