Sadly far more than that. According to baseball-reference.com, at least 110 MLBers have passed this year. Most were names you wouldn't recognize, but there were quite a few notables beyond the HOFers. Don Larsen, Ron Perranoski, Tony Taylor, Bob Watson, and Lindy McDaniel stand out for me. And thanks to the Great American Baseball Card Flipping and Trading book, whatever it's called, I smile thinking about a few others like Phil Linz, Foster Castleman, and Carrol Hardy, who are mentioned in it.
