I think I have a course of action that will solve this in the future. The server just couldn't handle all those attachments, and if I move them out of the database it should help load.

Live and learn. We've had a bunch of deals made at the card show so all was not lost and the next time around we'll make it that much better...

Just so you guys know. The consultant I hired started work today. He's already found some ways to make this site flow better. As far as the chat room goes it should handle the traffic as it's not what was crashing the server. Feel free to proceed with a chat room based live auction program.
