guys, sometimes the most ridiculous ideas can spawn ideas for much better ones. at this point this thread is brainstorming, as I see it, because there's a long way to go in the contest, so let's not judge too harshly.

alright, I'm sure we can't get the Dos Equis guy to go for it, but I like the idea of things like that. So far I like the RunDMC and ACDC shirts the best.
The "Vintage collectors and Prospectors Agree!" shirt is awesome too.

I know there's no deadline, but I don't even know when this National is. Is it in March, April, June? I'm wondering if I couldn''t get hold of a sweet FCB shirt for Spring Training.
:-)

I would love an FCB shirt for Twinsfest, but thats in less than 2 weeks. I do like the Vintage & Prospector one too. It would be nice to have our usernames on them, but if gilmo is going to be screenprinting them himself that will be too much work

Ok, while flipping through a stack of records today at an antique store, it hit me...legendary accordion player Frankie Yankovic is from Cleveland and some idiot board member happens to own a book about him.

The book is:
51M5F28B2WL._SS500_.jpg

And therefore the cover was my inspiration for this winning design. I know, I apologize for any other entries...but you might as well stop. I've got this in the bag.

What could be more appropriate than Frankie Yankovic holding some of Cleveland's finest graded slabs instead of playing his legendary keys? Absolutely nothing.

So you got a Cleveland music legend, you've got legendary sportscards from Cleveland's past and present...coupled with a simple two color screened layout...and it's no doubt to be the swankiest shirt at the show.

Without further ado...allow this fine piece of artwork grace your monitors....

I know, I know, the talent shown here is top-notch...stop, I'm blushing, I know it's amazing. You're really too much.

Tonight, I'm relaxing. Tomorrow, I will be spending the day in Illustrator designing T-shirts and failing to sell cards on the transaction boards.

Be prepared for some interesting stuff.

...i typed some more stuff but it all sounded cocky, and I don't want to look like any more of a fool than I already am when the designs don't turn out

You'll never see me on or watching "Project runway" I've submitted all I am going to... but I'll give you a collector specific slogan

"Let me see your Rusty Kuntz."

here's are 3 designs I have come up with so far. LMK what you think and i will evolve / change them as I see fit. I'm failrly spent for the day though....tired of thinking.

edit: i should clarify that I restricted myself to flat color, as that is easiest to print as far as t-shirts do.

Made a few revisions, kinda synthesized the 3 concepts. Might be a little overly artsy, but, LMK.

I think there is just too much going on. I personally don't dig the words over letters style. We just need something simple and to the point. Thats just IMO

thanks for the opinion. It's a work in progress, good to know what others think before I take things in a completely sideways direction. As it is now, what I am trying to accomplish is make freedomcardboard.com fairly easy to read. Not everyone will know what FCB means. But, as the same time, It's easier to make FCB look 'cool' graphically, so I think taking advantage of that would be good..

What I have above is, I realize, too paintbrush-y, and not very versatile as far as what color shirt it can go on and look good.

LOL They disliked mine for having a cigarette, I doubt "ass" would be any more acceptable. Though I do like it
