Never minded Jeff N,,, he's never affected my hobby perceptions,,,, nor did his inflammatory style ever make me value his opinions even when some made perfect sense,,,, to me its the wrong style of conducting one's self,,,,

I'm all for participation in the hobby by manufacturers intent on involving the buyers in decisions on products, feedback on ways to improve the buyer experiences,,, etc, etc, etc,,,, just don't think a public message board is the appropriate place for such a debate,,,,, should have invited him to Vegas ( or other large shows) during springtime when actual store owners, manufacturers, and others with all around hobby perspective could be present,,,, to me its better value all around to hobbyists when more level headed individuals with experience can shoot the fat about hobby issues,,,,,

You can read the comments already,,,,, that's "potential" and/or "future" business going out the window,,,,, perhaps a better worded initial post would have alleviated some concerns of hobbyists ,,,,,,maybe some sarcasm quotes or smiley style faces well placed would have tempered the negative remarks already seen,,,,,

My opinion of course,,,,

LOL. Leaf, a company, actively going after an individual because of the critism of the product? If I were Bob I would suggest you grow up and learn to take critism and if you don't like it, then don't reply.

It's post like this that have turned me off to Razor and Leaf and I'm sure whatever you call your company next, I won't be buying that either...not for dislike of your product, but the arrogance of the owner.

Wow. I could not disagree more with this statement or sentiment. In fact the only reason I have bought any Leaf products over the past 2 years is because of the direct communication between the market and the company. I would love to have this kind of direct, unfiltered, access to the consumers of my software. Even at our user conferences its just the corporate buyer/central teams...not the real end users. BG is doing exactly what I want the other companies to do. Come, listen, inform and, when appropriate, pimp. I frankly have never understood the motivation of the Leaf bashers. But, this is an open community and everyone gets to express their opinions, mine is that having BG here is good for us and good for Leaf. Take it for what it is worth. Just my opinion.

I am a big supporter of Brian and Leaf. From the standpoint of me being a collector and seeing what a fellow collector has done in creating a brand and a card company (you can debate what you want to call a card company, but he turns out products multiple times a year in multiple sports) is sincerely impressive. I have to agree 100 % with Matt that this is an extremely bad idea for you Brian. It is no secret that Jeff does not like your product and the way you run things, but it is also no secret that there are many people here that hate Topps, Upper Deck and Panini as well. The one thing you have going for you is that you are available night and day, every day of the week to criticism and any other constructive debate about your product. Regardless of what people think about your product, I don't think there is a person on this message board that is not impressed with the fact that they can send owner of a card company a message and get a reply within the day! I personally had one issue with quality control on one of the products I opened, I messaged you and you rectified it twofold! I honestly think if you were to even 'win' this debate that it would be negative publicity for you. When people get on here and bash companies like Topps, you don't see anybody from that company coming here to defend themselves, do you know why? Because even if they were to publicly rectify the situation, they would be setting themselves up in a negative way for future situation. This is complete speculation on my part, but I'm going to guess that a small majority of the people that purchase your product are from this very message board. If that is the case, I urge you to consider the fact that you have been on this message board for over a year and a half and people have been bashing you and your product entire time, yet every product you produce sells out almost instantly. You taking such a hard stance on the whole Jeff debacle is seriously going to affect your perception from people who aren't as hobby knowledgeable.

Well,

This explains the Brian Gray lovefest I had in my email today -- a friend request on facebook and a PM requesting "why can't we be friends"? I guess that if someone is bringing up all of the skeletons you hoped were buried, the best thing to do would be to shut them up with friendship.

I would have thought I would have been offered more backdoored product, actually... As the Million DOllar Man, Ted DiBiase, said, everyone has their price. I am sure certain message board members received their payola in the past.

While tempting to make you look more foolish than your explanations have already done, I'm done. I know that I'll never get a word of truth out of your mouth, Brian, and you'll simply "deny, deny, deny". What's the point of arguing any further? I've made my point; I've sold off a large portion of the Leaf inventory I own (or in one player's situation, I actually gave him his old Razor Metal Gold/Blue refractor autos), and I'll get rid of the rest of it soon. I CERTAINLY won't purchase anything from your company again.

There's no doubt that saying what I truly feel would either end with me being banned or sued, and perhaps that's the road you're attempting to take. While I appreciate your attempt to...what, debate me? Come into my arena? I have nothing more to say, nothing to prove. In the immortal words of Vincent LaGuardia Gambini... "I'm done wit this guy."

I'm surprised Brian hasn't offered to bet me $200k on something. It is quite telling that the only offer of a donation is if he gets a fight with me. GIve the money out of the kindness of your heart, rather than because I will or won't fight you.

Given the criticism towards Leaf in this thread, I'm surprised to see BG hasn't threatened to leave the boards once again.

And how is this a shocker? How boring would it be -- "You backdoored product to eBay sellers that was supposed to be in pack form only", "No I didn't, I had a rogue employee send them to a rretail store! I don't know how they got out!" "Duck Season!" "Rabbit Season!" "Duck season!" Rabbit season!".

Frankly, if you responded, I expected you to deny receiving product from Razor in return for your support of the product.

Dude, some of your posts have seriously made me scratch my head and wonder how big of a conspiracy theory you think is going on.

You weren't here in 2008. There is no doubt in my mind that people were paid off to support the Razor Signature Series product.

You are the one 3 years ago that told me if I'd give you some free stuff and took you on as a consultant, you'd lay off...shakedown anyone??

I don't want you or anyone else to lay off...

HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE!!! That insures I give 1000%...

I'm done too..... With you!

Now that we've gotten rid of Jeff from the discussion... I would like to be a guest on FCB podcast and allow collectors to email in questions to Gilmore...I want to be as transparent as possible!!!

I care about this business and my customers. I have proven that with the VERY best customer service in this industry.. Non-stop availability and access by phone and email ...

Here's to positivity and hobby reform (including within my organization)..

Thanks to those of you who genuinely care about this industry and allow me to be part of it.. BG

I said nothing about laying off. If I recall, you paid your legal team thousands of dollars to come to the exact same conclusion that I came to, and provided to you, for free - that your initial grab bag product was just that. Therefore, under both my advice and the advice of counsel, you agreed to create a limited edition, collectible set. I offered for you to retain me, but truth be told, I didn't care either way.

I did the same thing with Gilmo when he had initial legal issues with this site. He sent me a thank you gift for my time and advice, which was unnecessary. I had no intention of being his legal counsel, just like I didn't with you. However, I offered you both a legal mind and a collecting mind with almost 30 years of experience. IF you're trying to color me as a "scorned associate", you couldn't be further from the truth.

I have always spoken my mind, and I continue to do so, when I see something wrong, or something that doesn't make sense. This latest purplegate doesn't make sense.

Frankly, if you responded, I expected you to deny receiving product from Razor in return for your support of the product.

And in turn, I expected you to deny being a deadbeat not once, but twice, for cards you agreed to buy from me, then conveniently stopped responding to emails. Which you did, by the way.

Needless to say, I have never received a single card gratis from Razor/Leaf (I haven't even bought a product from BG in forever), and I would very much enjoy seeing you prove otherwise.

Go crawl back in your hole, Joseph McCarthy.
