All,

Starting this week and every Friday from here on out, we will be posting an "FCB Hot List," detailing what we believe are 10 of the hottest cards on eBay.

It will be a conglomeration of baseball, basketball, football and other sports. We of course welcome your input and comments on the cards and will try to incoporate them moving forward...so without further ado, here is this weeks:

Are you referring to the Matzek Blue and the Mitchell Gold?

Not the Matzek, but the Westmoreland Blue.

I'd say the Jamaal Charles Exquisite might be just as hot as the CJ. You could get Charles for $80-90 before last week, and the most recent to end were double that. CJ has been selling close to that range for a while.

Oh yes, that's right.

That's true...good point.

I do like the Hot List idea and have been waiting on something like this for a while. Great job. Only reco - if you are going to do it across all 3 sports, would you think of expanding the list beyond 10?
Thanks again.

It could be expanded, yes. However, the benefit of only have ten spots and using three sports is this - offseasons don't make it so difficult. Every sport has its dead time of the year and by using all three sports we can make up for that. You'll probably see more baseball in the summer, football in the fall etc.

If I consistently run into having 15 cards I want to put on the Hot List I will expand it.

What does it mean to be a "hot card"?

All,
Starting this week and every Friday from here on out, we will be posting an "FCB Hot List," detailing what we believe are 10 of the hottest cards on eBay.

It will be a conglomeration of baseball, basketball, football and other sports. We of course welcome your input and comments on the cards and will try to incoporate them moving forward...so without further ado, here is this weeks:

It could be a variety of things...recent big price jumps, lots of selling/demand for the card, etc. It is somewhat subject and that is of course on purpose.

Probably if a card sold for 15 and now sells for 100+ than that would be an example of a hot card right masonphillip?

No Hockey? :(

This is an area where I am quite weak, suggestions would be fantastic!

John Tavares Young Guns are extremely hot these days. His recently released Black Diamond quad RCs are heating up as well.

Sounds great. Would there be other criteria? Here it sounds like a card has to be around for at least a month or so before being able to achieve hot card status.

Nice list though. I look forward to reading it weekly :D

Thank you and thanks for your input on the hockey, if you see something hockey-wise that seems like a candidate, feel free to drop me a line.

Not really. When Austin Jackson 2007 Elite Autographs were selling for $65 out of the gate, they would have qualified.

You ranked a Razor Westmoreland auto (who is not even playing right now) as hotter than Mark Sanchez, which also sells for about 10-20X higher and in the playoffs?

Yeah no Razor bias at all

::facepalm::
