I figure better to show here than on my Dodger auto thread or football forum, this was a real down the rabbit hole buy. I had the Faulk from before and never thought much about the set, 1994 Score Rookie Redemption Gold Zone. You can tell the difference from the regular set gold rush from the card number I believe, but especially because these players are shown in their college uniforms on the base card.
They were redemption cards and have always been a bit pricy. I never checked how easy (or hard) the redemptions were to find back in 94, but they were individual cards (a few unredeemed cards came with the lot). I borrowed the scan of one of the redemption cards from TCDB

I am not even sure how or why I came across this listing, perhaps it was a seller I was bidding on something else with. He had the set listed minus 1 card (Greg Hill - I am in the market for one now if you have it or any of the unredeemed redemption cards) for a reasonable price and nobody sniped me. I got the near set for less than most Faulk singles seem to be priced at, so score, literally and figuratively. It's been a little bit of a football months or two for me, with several pick ups and possibly a few more on the horizon.

I almost tagged you, and figured you'd probably already have the Dilfer, but since I wanted to try to finish the set, figured I better not draw added attention. That's neat, I never thought to go after the unredeemed trade card for Trent Dilfer but thinking about it now that's definitely something I'd like to find. I picked up the Dilfer you have pictured 25 years ago and I remember it being somewhat tough at the time, though of course since I added it to the collection long ago it was out of mind. Didn't realize how tough they are to find now.
Really like that set. I need to look more often, the Millar you posted would be a nice add for me.Since I got back into collecting a few years back I’ve established three rules. 1) Try not to buy multiple cards of the same player…I got so burnt out on player collecting and rainbows that I’m now basically a type collector. 2) Never buy multiple autographs of the same player. 3) Never EVER buy multiple cards from the same set
Rules are made to be broken
