A) Everyone should know by now that you could buy whatever card you're "searching" for on ebay for a buck, if not less. It's hardly worth the effort.
B) It's just pathetic. We all want the most for our money, I get that. But cheapy Target packs are meant for kids, they're the ones hurt by this practice, not me. I could care less. Doesn't even matter if you don't have a LCS, you can buy packs/boxes from reputable wholesalers on the internet. I've seen pack searchers frantically going through packs at Targets before and it makes me almost embarassed to say I collect cards. It's almost as bad as pony-tail wearin' autograph hounds at minor league games.
nice blog setup!
it needs a fcb widget though![]()
I will happily add one, just show me where to get it...

nyc3 said:Not that simple some of these clowns use pocket scales. They know what the hits weigh, that would mean now the companies would have to make sure every pack weighed the same.sportscardtheory said:Here's a simple fix, create unsearchable packs for retail. Put them in small pack-sized boxes instead of foil. Problem solved. I'm sure the extra $50 a year it would cost to use cardboard will stop the companies from doing this though.

Bingo!
What a POS. Funny thing is all his success in searching packs has only yielded about maybe 5 double digit sales, way too many $0.01 sales which in a way is justice. Low-end and lowlife in both the hobby and life.Pills said:Heh, they closed it to those that aren't registered.
Somehow, I'm reminded of the William Shatner SNL skit at the Star Trek convention. "And you... have you ever even kissed a girl?!"
ebay name of the head guy there is fortunesfool001. Look at the feedback and the sales... hilarious.

" I think it is funny that so many people have nothing better to do with their time than rip on pack searchers, especially the plethora of idiots over at Freedomcardboard. While I must say that I am a member there, the majority of posters are idiots, and fat whale Gilmore thinks that his crap doesn't stink, I mean did he look at himself in the mirror lately? "

I have no respect at all for anyone who uses a hidden moniker such as that. And I seldom listen to anything they say.
A_Pharis said:Well, I was thinking.. and I'm not going to go through with this, but it's an interesting note.
Everyone knows sports cards are considered a form of gambling, right? It's been said that's the reason for the odds listed on packs as well as the NPN systems. Wouldn't packsearching in some sense be the same as using a tool to decipher winning scratchoffs?
I know it's way out there, but it's somewhat similar in the fact they they are defrauding the odds. Meh, I just don't buy retail. In fact, I think they should just remove major hits from retail, period, and just lower the price to appeal to kids more.
