Got this nice little patch today at the market. The guy had a TON of vintage, most tobaco cards I have ever seen in person, and many other 1930-1960 cards. The guy must have made 2500 in the few minutes that I was standing there waiting to pay him for this.

Forgive me if this makes me look naive, but is that a piece of the braves logo? I don't study uniforms under a microscope, so I really don't know where that would be from.

I was thinking the exact same thing - what patch is that from? I was thinking maybe from an all-star game or something - world series perhaps.

I dont think its a Braves patch, but I am looking up the Yankees uniforms to find which patch it came from.

So far the only patches that I see with this style "B" is from braves unifroms. The card doesnt show any signs of tampering.

How else could I check to see if its a fake?

Dont know if this was the guy or what, but he had everything people could want. Tons of rare inserts, patches, autos, vintage. Original Ginter cards, Piedmont, Carmel Candy cards. He is going to email me with stuff he didnt bring.

I wanted to buy the 1980-81 Topps Panel RC set, with a GEM 9.5 BGS Bird/Erving/Magic RC

Just dont have that kinda scratch lying around tho.

$2!!! That is awsome, even if you had maybe a question in your head, maybe its fake, or "where does that patch come from? " Its sure worth a risk of $2, but i'm sure its real. That is awsome. I've never seen that card in a patch before!

This is the closest thing I could find to the patch in the card.

My only quam is the lines underneath the "B" in the card patch. The yellow stops & turns upward, and becomes a white area with a few lines threw it.
Also the "B" is on top of the yellow.

The Braves patch, the yellow its below the "B", and continues in a straight line.

Clearly I can use some help from the Patch experts.

The patch versions are numbered to /25.. I pulled a Pedro Martinez patch and a Derek Jeter Patch..

Great steal in my opinion.. Goo dluck finding out where the patch came from..
