I just saw the replay of the Escobar play where he ranges DEEEEEP intot he hole and throws, side-arm, on the fly, the 1st base to get the runner by a step.

Not to be an overly-hyperbolic homer here, but there is NO ONE in the game today who could make that play defensively. NO ONE.

That was an hell of a play.

Jimmy used to be able to do it in the air, now he's a little more limited to deep in the hole and throwing off his back foot.

Good to see Pedro pitch well
Line??

8.0IP 6H 0R 0ER 2BB 7K

Its against the Mets but still good to see

No worries, I'm pretty confident the Mets will still win.

Madson can't be used this much and be successful.

I'm not even going to bother that he doesn't have Closer mentality(He can handle the pressure, it's just pitch selection and location)

Madson looked a lot better then I expected, but I'm still not quite sure how Franceour missed that first pitch.

Exactly what is Manuel doing running Pedro out there for 130 pitches? You know, the guy coming off arm injuries. Nice to see Porcello help snap the Tigers losing streak.
