Marcum has been great for the Brewers this year, but I am thinking we may miss Lawrie long term.n Everything from watching him through the minors indicates he won't be able to stay in the infield. Scouts say he doesn't have the desire and work ethic to be a great fielder, which will push him to the outfield.
Can't really knock much about the kid right now.

I think that's the 'old' Lawrie. A couple of different Jays officials (one in AAA and one in the Majors) have said they've never been around a guy that has worked harder on his defense. I certainly don't doubt the old scouting reports but it really seems the guy has matured a ton over the past year.
This really does look like one of those trades that will benefit both teams.
